Ah, my motherland, it makes me proud I should time one of my visits home for a trip to the Keukenhof. I’m from the north of the country where the cows bloom in the fields.

Have you ever heard of the former mayor Marion Barry of Washington, DC? Convicted drug offender, spent time in prison, re-entered politics successfully, was elected to city council and later again as mayor. Recently was in trouble for not paying taxes. But he was/is very popular among the poor of DC and it’s said he was a good mayor.
